September 2008

Seems like summer just got started and here we are going back to school. Our summer was definitely cut short due to our move. I'm not complaining, mind you. We are so happy in our new house and are adjusting to living in the valley.

Today is Mike's birthday and, of course, he was doing exactly what he wanted to do. Hunt. Spencer starts back at U-Hi on Thursday and then starts at SCC with Running Start on the 22nd of Sep. Below are some pics of him at the kite festival. He went to Long Beach with his grandparents like he does every year and racked up some more medals. Bubba is 19 months old and transitioning to being at the babysitter's while we are at work. He's been pretty clingy while we're at home but we are hoping that he starts feeling better soon.

If you are ever in the valley area please feel free to stop by. We will not be having a housewarming party or open house. Our phone numbers are the same. Here are some pics of the last month:

August 2008

Some exciting things are happening in our lives! We finally sold our house in Deer Park and are getting hyped up to move into the valley. Everything happened so fast once we sold that it made us a bit overwhelmed. Instead of moving right into a rental, we decided to check out homes that were ready for us to move into and we found one! The timing of events didn't make life easier...but that's the story of our lives. As soon as we sold the house, I had to go to a conference and was gone for 4 days. Mike had to stay with Bubba as well as plan all of the things we had to do in order to close. He also did the house shopping and narrowed the choices down considerably. Fortunately, we both liked the one in Aspen Creek and now we are making our plans to be a part of the Ponderosa community.

Of course, other things did happen in July. After returning from Minnesota we got back into the swing of things here by visiting my dad in Priest River, going to playdates such as Chuck E. Cheese, Northtown play area, and Settler's Days in Deer Park.

Spencer are both registered to start college in the fall and I am preparing for my new assignment of Principal Assistant at Sunrise Elementary. Mike is getting excited for Rick and Haley (Mike's brother and neice) to come for some hunting. They will be our first houseguests!

We had a great summer even though it was way too short. We are excited, though, to begin a new chapter in our lives with all of the changes that are occurring.
